Spotify Desktop App See Song Release Date

by prudrequirixacum 2021. 4. 26.

Please vote for this idea so that Spotify will implement this change: Show the full release date on the desktop app This suggestion has been posted 3 times since 2015 (not counting those marked as duplicate), never breaking more than 500 people supporting it. Spotify is a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs. I can't help but wonder how many amazing songs I've missed out on simply because they weren't shown on an artist's home page. I absolutely love the app but this is the single most annoying feature that I would love to see expanded on to include 10 songs, just like the desktop version. Even a drop down menu to see the extra 5 songs would suffice! Spotify Premium users have the option to enable “high-quality streaming” from the Preferences menu on the desktop, which plays songs at a bitrate of 320 kbps rather than the standard rate of. On desktop, import your local files (with the 'Desktop' steps). Add the files to a new playlist. Log in on your mobile or tablet using the same WiFi as your desktop. Download the playlist with your local files. Make sure: You're logged in to the same account on both your desktop and mobile; Your devices are connected to the same. Spotify has just taken the wraps off a brand-new feature that will make it easier than ever to share your absolute favorite music and podcasts. Dubbed My Forever Favorites, the new in-app feature lets Spotify users create a playlist with their top five songs and/or podcast episodes, which can be shared on social channels.

Under ACTIVE, make sure the release date/time is showing correctly, the start date has passed, and the end date says unlimited (or is in the future). If you see an end date or don’t see any dates, check the same info shows in both ACTIVE and DELIVERED tabs.

Delivery

Getting your music on Spotify.

Music is delivered either by a record label or a distributor. If you’re signed to a label, they’ll take care of getting your music to Spotify. If you’re independent, you’ll have to arrange distribution yourself.

If you don’t currently work with a distributor, Spotify works with companies who can handle the licensing and distribution of your music and pay you the royalties you earn when listeners stream your music on Spotify. There’s usually a fee or a commission involved, but each service is unique, so be sure to do a little homework before picking one that’s right for your needs.

Still working on your music? Get great sound with the help of professional producers, engineers, musicians and songwriters on SoundBetter, the world’s leading music production talent marketplace — now part of the Spotify for Artists family.

Note: If you want to pitch music to our playlist editors, it must be unreleased. We recommend picking a distributor that allows you to select a release date at least a week in the future. That way, you can ensure your music is delivered to us early enough to pitch it.

Visit our provider directory for a list of preferred and recommended distributors that meet our standards for providing quality metadata and protecting against infringement.
